According to the Colorectal Cancer Association Of Canada, cancers of the colon and rectum are the second-leading cause of cancer death of Canada.  Colorectal cancer does not discriminate and can develop in both men and women. Often times colorectal cancer first develops with minor, if any, symptoms. 

Colorectal Cancer Statistics for 2011 include an estimated 22,200 Canadian (12,500 men / 9,700 women)
